August 2018 in numbers

Our stats for the month of August. 🙂 None of this is possible without YOU, our supporters, sponsors and donors. Thank you – you make a difference. <3 As you can see, our sterilisations number has gone up – yippee! 🕺Every one done is one that won’t be having more pups or kittens that end up breeding and/or landing up in a bad situation. We placed 15 kennels for lucky dogs, most of which were donated via Purple Kennel Project – Cape Town – thank you…

July 2018 in numbers

THANK YOU to each and every one of you who donate to FAW to help the animals. We are entirely funded by donations which means that, without you, none of the animals would have been helped. You make the difference! <3 🐶🐱   You will notice that vaccinations have decreased from last month – this is typical during winter, partly because the cold makes people stay home instead of come to see us with their pets, but also because there…

June 2018 in numbers

A huge thank you to each and every person who donated, be it funds, items for the shop, kennels, their time, and their sharing and caring – you make the difference. Kennels We delivered 39 kennels in June – most of which came from Purple Kennel Project – Cape Town donations, some donated funds so we could have large kennels made (which are often shared by more than one dog!) and some also donated 2nd-hand kennels. THANK YOU soooo much…

May 2018 figures

YOU are the ones who keep things going. Aside from these stats, there are so many animals that require all sorts of help – a bit of antiseptic here, a little flea treatment there, bowls of food dished out and the many, many conversations had. There’s no way of including all those but just know that it happens and it does create change. Thank you to every single volunteer who does this hard work and to YOU, our supporters.

What we did in 2016

What we did in 2016

And the results are in! Here are some of the things we did in 2016 – our 10th anniversary year. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished with our handful of (part-time and unpaid!) volunteers – but more than that, we are GRATEFUL to all of YOU for supporting us in our work. Because of all of you, we could help all these animals and more. And, while we know there are many more out there that still need our…

2013 figures (vaccinations, sterilisations, vet treatments)

The results are in! Our tiny team of part-time volunteers worked very hard in 2013 – here are the figures. These, of course, don’t include the MANY on-site things that get done – the smaller wound treatments, feeding, sorting out of chained dogs, building runners, organising kennels, collars and leads, ensuring food and water, shaving of matted fur, bathing, mange treatments, education, rehoming of animals, and SO much more. In 2013 we sterilised 562 animals, vaccinated 1506 against rabies, canine…

2013 Highlights

2013 Highlights

The past year was a tough one but succesful in many ways. We started a kennel project, adopted out many lucky dogs and cats, rescued animals in need, and sterilised plenty! Here’s a brief look at some of the highlights of 2013… The Great FAW Kennel Drive launches We started a project to place kennels in the township and squatter camp. We asked our supporters to help raise money for 40 kennels or donate unused kennels. FAW pledged to match…
