Zero-tolerance dignity-at-work policy

Every person who volunteers or works for FAW does so in order to help others. They have the right to be treated with respect and courtesy. We understand that animal welfare is an emotive subject and that, occasionally, emotions may get the better of people. However, please be advised that Fisantekraal Animal Welfare has a zero-tolerance dignity-at-work policy regarding behaviour towards and between our staff and volunteers, and any person using our services, whether they are residents of our areas of operation or adopters.

Aggressive, intimidating, racist, and violent behaviour towards anyone in the organisation or using our services, will not be tolerated under ANY circumstances.

Anyone who verbally or physically abuses, harasses, attempts to intimidate, or bullies any member of our organisation or person who is using our organisation’s services, whether in person or via telephone, email, or other modes of communication, will receive a warning. Should the policy be violated again, the person will be asked to leave our premises or, in the case of other communications, blocked. Additionally, the person will be blacklisted from adopting or fostering from FAW, or utilising any FAW services in future.

We trust that you will agree that those that work with us deserve to be treated courteously and to work without fear, and that those who use our services deserve the same respect. Non-observance of the dignity-at-work policy will not be tolerated.

Thank you for helping to make the world a better place by adhering to good behaviour standards.
