Our small, informal shop based in Fisantekraal sells donated second-hand goods to the area’s residents. It has been a huge success and EVERY CENT goes towards helping the animals!
Please contact 062 258 3547 or firstname.lastname@example.org. We have drop-offs for second-hand goods at our premises in Fisantekraal (Tuesdays and Saturdays, 09h00 – 12h00), and at volunteers around the Northern suburbs (by prior arrangement). We greatly appreciate it if people can drop donations off with us as we are a small group of volunteers and it may be some time before someone can collect from you.
Not only does the shop help pay off our vet bills each month, it enables Fisantekraal residents to purchase much-needed items which they cannot normally afford. THANK YOU to all those who help stock our shop.
WHAT SELLS IN OUR SHOP?
CLOTHING and shoes for adults and children; school shoes always needed.
HOUSEHOLD GOODS especially kitchenware, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, and glasses – even mismatched ones!
ELECTRICAL GOODS of all kinds. The condition is not important but they must be in good working order as there are not many “Mr Fix Its” in Fisantekraal. As all the houses have electricity supply now we’re always being asked for microwaves, fridges, and TVs, as well as washing machines and stoves.
SOFT FURNISHINGS: Bedlinen, curtains, towels, rugs, etc. are all very popular!
FURNITURE: Beds, chairs, desks, and tables.
Large items need to be brought to Fisantekraal. If you are not able to bring the items, please let us know in advance as it takes some time to arrange someone who can collect.
PS: We try to sell everything but sometimes things don’t sell. We then pass these on to places like the old age home, soup kitchen, or other animal welfares which can benefit from them – nothing goes to waste. Things that generally do not sell well are books and large-size clothing.
