Uitsig ARC closing: dogs need homes by end of 2020

UPDATE: FAWbies to move to Fallen Angels.

It’s with a heavy heart that we have to inform our supporters, followers and the general public that we have just been informed that the Uitsig shelter will be closing wef 17 January 2021 (which means dogs need to be out by end of 2020). Please read the attached poster which is self explanatory.

Just to clarify: FAW WILL REMAIN OPEN and function as always because we are a SEPARATE entity to Uitsig.

HOWEVER, 6 of our dogs remain at this shelter and are now in dire need of foster homes. We have to ask everyone to please share this post, far and wide to assist us in getting these dogs in to foster homes.

We have been actively trying to rehome these dogs for many years to no avail. They are not young, cute or fluffy – however they are just as capable of giving their heart and soul to a family with the same intensity and loyalty as a cute fluff ball would and, my goodness, they would be SOOOO grateful. Not a day would go by without them KNOWING that YOU had saved them.

Have a look at these dogs before you scroll on by and consider this: they were once someone’s pet before they were thrown away without a second thought.

People take more care over recycling their rubbish than they do with pets that no longer serve a purpose.

FAW will continue to try and get these fur balls in to foster with as much intensity and passion as always – because we care. Someone has to.

Please share this post and trust that these poor souls will live to experience what it feels like to, once again, be part of a loving family.
